Winzip is a must have program for anyone who works with a lot of files and file formats. The built-in compression utility in Windows' latest operating systems handle zip files just fine but they don't work with .rar and other common formats. Winzip works with any format I've ever had to use and it works well.

Winzip also works better to compress files as it creates a smaller file than the Windows standard utility does. When working with a lot of large files, this can really make a big difference in performance and storage space on your workstation.
