Handy Recovery is a data recovery software for windows created by publisher SoftLogica Inc.
Handy Recovery Summary
Handy Recovery can already be considered OK as a data recovery software, though it still needs to have more improvement. These improvements may come in the form of more features and an interface that’s livelier and edgier. As of the moment, the program's interface looks old-fashioned, like it hasn’t been updated for years already. As for the scan results, a number of files are usually gathered, but in most occasions, some files are missing. Putting the program's performance into percentages, around 5% of files are not recovered by Handy Recovery. This makes the program hardworking enough, though there are more efficient competing software programs when it comes to recovering all files. Once these issues are fixed, Handy Recovery may be on its way to be one of the best data recovery programs available.
Handy Recovery Features
Handy Recovery's recovery scanning options are reliant on adjustable filters which can hide files that a user doesn't want to see in the recoverable list. Other than that, it has a feature that lets the user create a disk image from the list of files resulting from the scan. There is also a feature that lets the program locate entire lost partitions. SoftLogica, the software’s manufacturer admits that Handy Recovery does not have a distinct set of unique features compared to other data recovery software available.
Handy Recovery Pricing
The manufacturers of Handy Recovery have made their software more affordable by introducing price tiers for their products depending on how many units a customer would like to buy. This means that the more programs one will buy, the higher the discount will be. 1 to 4 licenses are priced at $49.00 per license. Customers who will buy 5 to 9 licenses will only pay $43.00 for each. 10 to 24 licenses will cost $40.00 each, 25 to 49 licenses will be at $37.00 each, and anyone buying 50 or more licenses will only have to pay $35.00 for each.
Handy Recovery Support
Unfortunately, Handy Recovery is not outstanding in terms of on-the-spot support. The program does not have a frequently asked questions page for users to get answers from. Tutorials and step by step guides are also absent from the program. As of the moment, the manufacturer’s website offers a toll-free number and an email for any concerns with the product, but a live option is not yet available.
Handy Recovery Review
There are a lot of things a user can do with the program as it is right now. A good number of users is switching to other programs though, as these other programs are offering more advanced features, allowing them to do more with the files they will recover. The program itself is not that efficient as what users expect it to be, dishing out around 95% of expected recovered files. This may be considered a small quantity for some, but in the area of data recovery where people are attempting to get everything they can salvage, a small percentage of data not recovered means a lot. There is also a need to adapt a flashier-looking interface.
