Default Which Anti-Virus do you prefer a lot for XP

The reason i ask this question here is that many people is still confused with this area of using a correct anti-virus for XP operating systems.

Here is a solution for it. Let us all discuss about it here and come to a strong conclusion.

As far as the anti-virus is concerned i use AVG freeware edition to protect my system from virus if i use XP.

What is your opinion on this. Post it here...

Previously I used AVG but it failed to detect many viruses. So i tried NOD32 and Avast. These both are nice. Avast is a freeware and everyday new iAvs is being updated.

Yeah, AVG failed a lot in detecting deadly viruses. It happened to me once. I got infected by an adware. Luckily, I installed Spybot Search and Destroy and HiJackThis to remove those unwanted files.

So far I was using ESET NOD32 trial version. Now I'm using AVG Free Edition. When I was using AVIRA my pen drive seemed to be clean. But, when I put that in my friend's PC, AVG detected 93 viruses which AVIRA didn't detect. So, I changed to AVG.
