The solution is very simple to your problem.Just change the type in save as menu coming during the time of saving your file at the bottom of the file name.Change the type to office 97-03 extension to *.doc and then run your file on other systems too.

Default Just save it in doc format

MS Office 2007 is made very nice office software of Microsoft.. There is a problem that you have said. But inMs Office 2007 you can save your project in two format. One is.doc and another one is .docx. In default system of MS Office 2007 saving option create a docx document. This type of format document does not support earlier version of MS Office.. If you change it in doc format in the time of saving of your document, this format document you can open in every MS office software....

This has caused some confusion at first when people were first introduced to Microsoft Office 2007. I have noticed now that people are getting the hang of it and starting to save .doc instead of .docx in order for other people to view.

Microsoft provide a free program that adds a plugin to office 97-2003 so that they can open docx files.
