Nero is very heavy on system!

Nero is the best CD/DVD writing softwares around.
But its too heavy on my system.
I can't even move my mouse while its writing CDs.

Is there a lighter alternative?

yes... nero has a lot of unuse utilities and make it run slower ... sometimes i just copy the files direct to cd drive and push " write theese files to cs"

I completely agree that Nero's latest versions slow down PC performance considerably. Not only do they take up huge precious Hard Disk space, most of the utilities in them are not that useful. I still use an older version of Nero

Nero is heav on the system because of its system files.
I am using portable Nero9 & it does not create more load on the system.
It also writes proper discs.

I would definitely suggest that you should buy a more higher RAM than you are currently using. NERO takes a lot of RAM when burning CDs especially DVD videos.
