Processor fan slow?

Hi,
from past few days my system is working very slow and hangs after 1hr of use.
I just opened it curiously to find that my CPU fan is working slowly,
any solution but to change it?

I assume your fan is covered with thick dust. Disable it and clean it. If your fan is still running slow, then you have no choice but to buy a new one.

Check your bios, and make sure that smartFAN or whatever is turned off, and manually adjust the speed so that it's always spinning at 100%.

You might need to do a reformat - could just be some software going haywire.

Normally if its spinning slow, it means the processor is cool and having it spin slow is saving power.
