Problem with my new External Hard drive

I have two external hard drive. But same problem I encountered. My computer can't detect my external hard drive. I already tried it with other computer. Still the same problem. Can anyone help me?

Have you tried a different USB port on your computer? Perhaps its your USB port that is the problem. Also, you should try to plug your external hard drive into another computer and see what happens. This will help you determine if you have a problem with your computer or your external hard drive.

It usually happens when the external hard drive is not compatible, search online for a proper drive to install it, with the number of the model.

All new data storage devices require to be formatted before first usage. Harddisk is not detected only if it is not formatted once.
