I'm not sure why Movable Type hasn't taken off like some of the other CMS platforms. It is ideal for simple blogs, although it doesn't have quite the versatility of Wordpress but that's mostly due to plug-ins and extensions created by developers. Some of Movable Type's features are way better than the other blogging platforms, like the three different options of managing and controlling spam and the invaluable Asset Manager for easy access to all your media files. The RSS feed system is also far better than with other blog platforms.
