New Powerful Graphics with Adobe Photoshop CS5

Product summary of Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop, commonly known as Photoshop, is a graphics editing program currently being developed and released by Adobe Systems Incorporated. When it comes to commercial image and bitmap manipulation, Adobe Photoshop stands as the primary market leader. In fact, this product is often described as being the industry standard for graphics professionals. Learning how to use Adobe Photoshop is a must for those who want to be employed in the field of graphic design. The latest version is the Adobe Photoshop CS5, which is the eleventh one in the program. Photographers, designers, graphic artists, and other creative professionals will surely benefit from the new, powerful features that Adobe Photoshop CS5 offers.

Features of Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop CS5 has smoother panning and zooming, as well as fluid canvas rotation. This would allow users to navigate to any specific area of an image using the new ultra-smooth panning and zooming. Clarity is maintained even as users zoom to individual pixels. There's also the new Pixel Grid, which makes it easy to edit images even at the highest magnification. Aside from that, the Rotate View tool can turn the canvas around so that users can view images without distortion at any angle. The adjustments panel of Adobe Photoshop CS5 also simplifies the task of adjusting images because users can now access all tools easily. Enhancing the tone and color of images is now quicker and easier, and there is now a wider selection of presets included in the program.

Now that Adobe Photoshop CS5 offers better raw image processing, raw images will now have superior conversion quality because users can now do TIFF and JPEG processing, localized corrections, and post-crop vignetting. Photoshop CS5 is also compatible with more than 190 different camera models. There's also the extended depth of field feature, which allows users to construct a single image from multiple shots that feature varying focal points. Using the improved auto-blend layers command results in smoothly blended shading and color, and even corrects lens distortion and vignettes. The tabbed document display also allows users to work on multiple open files easily.

Editors Review of Adobe Photoshop CS5

The new Adobe Photoshop CS5 offers users with a more intuitive user interface as well as new editing features that include the adjustments and masks panels. There's also the new content-aware scaling, advanced auto-blending, and re-engineered tools for color correction. All these work together to provide users with a fluid experience and increased efficiency and productivity.

It's not just creative professionals that will benefit from getting Adobe Photoshop CS5. Serious amateur photographers, aspiring graphic artists, teachers, and students alike will find that this software may help them with various projects and presentations. Adobe Photoshop CS5 can also be bought along with other Adobe programs. Photoshop CS5 can even be used in conjunction with other programs in the Adobe Creative Suite 5. Although Photoshop CS5 may seem costly, the price is just right for all the powerful features and tools that this program offers. Those who wish to know more about this software might want to check out the official site of Adobe to get more information.

What’s New with the Adobe Photoshop CS4?

Adobe Photoshop CS4 Review

The CS4 is the photo application model, which succeeded the Photoshop 10. While the software is primarily used for image editing and retouching, its manufacturer- Adobe Systems, Incorporated –has worked hard to improve most of its features to make your work easier as a Web designer or a picture editor. The CS4 also comes with new elements that have not been made available to other Photoshop models. Here are some of the current version’s highlights:

Layer Mask Density
This feature allows you to edit your pictures by layers, or work on those images, which have been modified before, and have hidden components and parts underneath. It is the responsibility of the Layer Mask Density tool to lighten the effects of these films to reveal the base of your pictures.

Hydra Technology
This new technology depends on the power of your computer’s graphics card instead of the CPU, allowing the program to work and load faster. This enables you to multi-task when editing, and if you need to open other applications aside from the Photoshop. Hydra filters can also support any color depth or palette, making it easier for you to open your images without their tints being altered.

Seam Carving
This feature lets you resize your images without stretching the original. This is convenient when you are either shrinking or enlarging a picture, regardless of its proportions. The Seam Carving tool allows you to edit the measurements of your photos without limit.

Polished Interface
Another important feature of the CS4 is its polished interface, which allows you to work through the Photoshop window with ease. You are given more space to modify your pictures, and to view them at their actual sizes. The dialog buttons and boxes are slimmer, and they are adjustable in terms of size and brightness.

Other Improvements
Of course, those features that were previously available to older Photoshop models are improved as well. Some of these are the XRez Technology, KnowHow, and Kuler, which helps you configure your images into any suitable file type for your phone and other devices. Other enhancements are better support for HDR, easier to rotate canvases, and faster loading time.

Why Upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS3?

Adobe Photoshop CS3 Review

Nowadays, more people have grown accustomed to using the Adobe Photoshop to edit and manipulate their photos. This application is currently the most popular tool that is used by Web designers to retouch images, especially those that are created for advertisements. The Photoshop 10, more commonly known as the CS3, is one of the newest versions of the software. Upgrading your current model to this edition introduces you to the many enhanced features that come with it, some of which are as follows:

Streamlined Interface
The window is easier to work on, and is built with lesser buttons. Instead of the regular two columns of actions, the CS4 makes use of a single line of keys in its toolbox. If you are more familiar with the previous set of knobs, you can easily modify the bar by pressing on the double arrows, which can be seen at the top of it. Palettes are now collapsible, and minimized into tiny icons to let you multi-task and browse through many images at once. The maximum screen option allows you to design in full view by expanding the design window. You can switch between modes by pressing the F button or via the toolbar.

Smart Filters
These filters enable you to blend color films when editing an image. These are available in a separate square toolbox that is commonly located on the right side of your window. The bar is called the Layers palette, which gives you a thumbnail view of your picture’s current layer. You can press the respective buttons for the smart filters to switch between coatings.

Quick Selection Tool
When editing, the Quick Selection Tool serves as your main magic wand. This automatically selects an object while you paint on the image’s edges. This is easier to use than the regular point-and-drag method with the mouse.

Refine Edge Command
This comes with the Quick Selection Tool in case you make a mistake in painting an object. The Refine Edge Command immediately fine-tunes your chosen image item as you work.

Other Improvements
The CS4 enhances the other features that can be found in the Photoshop 10 and some of its older versions. You can now save your images directly to the Web, and the pictures are easier to modify with better eyedropper tools and vanishing points. Other improvements are the curves, color contrasts, cloning tools, and the camera raw.

I am not a graphic designer by any means, but I often found myself working with the standard "Paint" program that comes with any Windows computer. I wasn't using it for anything elaborate, just to sometimes save pictures or work on them a little. I decided to go ahead and give Adobe Photoshop a try. I must say that I am very pleased with it. Even someone with little to no experience, such as myself, will be amazed at what you can do to a picture with this software! I haven't even utilized half of the features yet, and I must say that I am extremely happy with it. It's very easy to use, when it comes to the basic stuff. I personally haven't tried to do anything elaborate, but it does open up doors to future projects.

I think most of those who have every been invested in graphic design have already been won over by this amazing design program. For those who haven't used it, you're sorely missing out. Photoshop is chock full of all the features you'll ever need. With an easy-to-use interface and clear organization of tools, you'll be transforming basic elements into graphic masterpieces in no time - and probably have way to much fun doing it.

Whether you are looking for a program to use for work or play, Photoshop is the way to go. As usual the new version boasts some new features and plenty of improvements to those present in previous versions. Though there are free programs available that are similar to Photoshop, none I have tried (and I've tried lots) have ever come close to the ease of use and functionality one finds in Photoshop. If you're unsure, try a demo version first - it's easy to see why this is one of the most popular image editing programs on the market.

I have been using Photoshop for more than 3 yrs now and really love Photoshop CS5. I take a lot of photos with my professional camera and its support for camera raw format is amazing. I have changed cameras in the past 3 yrs and camera raw plugin is released every now and then to support newer cameras.

It has got tons of features but the best for me is content-aware fill that was added in CS5. It saves a lot of time. Other helpful features are refine-edge tool which can be used to select complex borders. It has got plenty of features that I haven't even used till now. Haven't upgraded to the next version yet but plan to do so soon.

I am not the most creative person, but every now and then, I like to make small changes to pictures. i used to just use the standard "Paint" program that came with my computer. A friend showed me a few things you could do with Adobe Photoshop. After that, I had to have it! It is very user-friendly, and I find myself creating projects I never would have thought that I could do! I am by no means a very computer-literate person, so, if I can do it, anyone can! I find myself creating flyers, cards, and more. I haven't even fully tapped into everything I can do yet! I like that I don't have to spend hours trying to figure out how it works. It makes me feel like a professional, yet I have absolutely no training in graphic design!

I have worked professionally as a graphic designer for many years and it is basically a given that you know your way around Adobe Photoshop. It is a powerful tool that I use mostly to retouch photographs.

It allows you to mask areas of a photograph, select them, color correct them, colorize them in different ways, remove imperfections, among many other functions. The layers tools are invaluable as well, allowing you to layer images on top of each other and work on them independently in the same file or blending the layers together with different opacity and filter settings. While it's not necessarily the most user-friendly program (it will require some time spent with the manual and/or tutorials), if you love working (or playing) with images as I do, Photoshop is definitely the way to go.

I cant afford photoshop at the moment but I like being creative with it. We have it in school as well for my design classes. I read you can buy it on a month per month basis. That's a really good idea, I might consider that when my studies becomes more advanced.
